Case Study
We took a channel to over 100+ subscribers in under a month, using short form content.
Struggling to grow your YouTube channel? This is how I took a channel to over 100+ subscribers in under a month, using short form content.
I chose to use short form content to help out a struggling channel. Why? Because attention spans are rock-bottom. Chances are that if someone is using YouTube to watch your videos, they are also using TikTok, the app that has shown just how effective short form content can be.
When I first examined the channel I looked for 3 things:
Target audience
What others are doing in similar niches
Average watch time Let's talk about these
Target audience: Ask yourself who are you talking to? Is it a younger audience? Is it seniors? Be specific.
Is it adults, or young adults?
What you should consider:
Age
Gender
Location
Interests
Income
Level of education
Profession
What are other people doing? Chances are, there is someone in your niche, or a similar one - that is currently performing better than your channel. Study them, which videos do well? Why? Are they offering their audience bite-size videos that they can watch on the go?

Average watch time. I noticed my client was having a decent watch time but as the video carried on, the viewers dropped off. Which is only natural, the longer the vid, not everyone is going to stick around. But I noticed that a lot of people were going earlier than usual
Everything I had done to research and help this channel led me to short form content. YouTube Shorts was what this channel was crying out for. I implemented the changes and the channel witnessed a boost of over 30k views. Follow my guidelines, and you can do the same.
